The Shota Suzuki Exhibition was held at INN THE PARK, a park where you can stay overnight, in Numazu City from Sunday, January 10 to Monday, January 11, 2021.
New works painted for Shinagawa Aquarium, Tairyobata (fishing boat flag symbolizing a good catch) and watercolor paintings of marine life in Suruga Bay which Shota painted when he was 8 and 9 years old were placed on display.
During the exhibition, we sold pre-ordered products including the watercolor painting replicas (with his autograph and serial number in his own handwriting), specially-designed T-shirts, art works printed on canvas panels, and eco-friendly bags (some original paintings were sold as well).
Part of the revenue will be donated to a group working on the marine debris issue and one working on child support.
Some will also be saved to realize Shota’s solo exhibition at an aquarium overseas which is one of his goals.
